It has already taken over as the primary interface for desktop and server hard drives and is now making its way into the embedded OEM flash storage market. Cactus Technologies offers a variety of products based on the SATA interface. For embedded applications, the CFast and mSATA form factor are most popular. The mSATA interface has a smaller physical size than the SATA SSD or Slim SATA products.
