Cactus Technologies, Ltd. Launches 303 Family of High Performance Industrial CompactFlash Cards

HONG KONG—Apr. 25, 2008--Cactus Technologies, Ltd. today announced they have launched the new 303 Family of Industrial CompactFlash Cards which significantly increase the sustained read and write performance without compromising the Industrial Feature set that customers have come to expect from the current 203 Family of products. 

The CompactFlash Cards are the first form factor we are launching in the 303 Series product Family.  Over the next few months, we will launch 303 Series products encompassing all Cactus Technologies’ ATA products including the CompactFlash, PC Card, 2.5” FlashDrives (SSD) and Disk-On-Module form factors.  The new state of the art controller achieves up to 35Mbytes/second sustained read performance and up to 20Mbytes/second sustained write performance1.  The new products support up to UDMA Mode 4, an industry standard specification for high performance and reliability.

Available Capacity points2: 128, 256, 512Mbytes, 1, 2, 4 and 8Gbytes

The 303 CompactFlash continues with the industry leading 3000G Shock and 30G Vibration specification making the Cactus products dependable in even the most rugged environments.  High Write Endurance of > 2 million write cycles per logical block is ideal for use in disk-like applications vs. a typical consumer card of < 100,000.  Cactus offers an extended temperature range option that is guaranteed down to -45C (-49 Fahrenheit) and up to +90C (194 Fahrenheit) for extreme applications.  We have also been able to increase our altitude spec to 100,000 feet.
